Good morning, Lord. I love you, Lord.
Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God. And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you. Leviticus 20:7-8
You are the LORD which sanctifies me.
And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine. Leviticus 20:26
God has severed me from other people. I am not to try to be like them. I am not to try to fit in. I am to be what God calls me to be. I am to be what God calls me.
Thank you, Lord, that I am not to try to be like everyone else. Thank you that I am not to try to fit in. I have tried, and it is so draining, and I don’t think I ever quite succeeded anyway. Thank you for setting me free from that constant striving to be something I am not, something I don’t have to be. Thank you for setting me free to be yours and yours alone. Thank you that you take care of me. Thank you that you are the one who gives grace and favor. Thank you that you lift up one and put down another. Thank you that it is all in your hands. Thank you for setting me free, Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ.
