Thank You, Jesus.

Thank You, Jesus, for dying for us.  Thank You, Jesus, for dying for our sins, for taking upon You the iniquity of us all, that, the penalty for our sins being paid by You, we may be forgiven for our sins, cleansed, and made righteous in the sight of God through faith in You.  Thank You, Jesus, for loving us so much that You suffered and died for us.  Thank You, Jesus, that You love the Father so much that You obeyed Him, even unto death, trusting Him, knowing that He knows best.  Thank You, Jesus, for raising from the dead on the third day, and for making Yourself known to witnesses of Your resurrection that we all would hear the truth of the gospel.  Thank You that we are saved by believing in You.  Thank You that we are saved by grace through faith.  Thank You that we don’t have to be perfect, because when we try to be perfect, we fail.  You are perfect for us.  You lived a perfect, sinless life on this earth.  Since death is the penalty of sin, You could have continued living in the flesh without dying, having never sinned.  But You took the death penalty upon Yourself, our death penalty, and died, was buried, and rose again the third day.  Now You live forever by the Father’s side, and in our hearts when we believe in You.  And when You dwell in our hearts, we receive Your righteousness in the Father’s eyes.  And we are given eternal life.  Because You paid our debt.  Thank You, Jesus, for paying our debt.  May we always live to honor You, love You, and love one another as You love us.  Thank You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, for Your perfect plan for us.  In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
