Good morning, LORD. I love You. I praise You. I glorify You. Be exalted! Everything I have is from You, and for You. Everything I am is from You, and for You. Be glorified by my life, Jesus. Be glorified by everything I say and do and think and write. Be glorified by every action I take, every move I make. Receive my life, my breath, as praise unto You, Father, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Covetousness
May 19, 2008 by earthenvessel4himDear Heavenly Father, please forgive me for being covetous. Thank You for Your forgiveness, Father. Please help me to keep my eyes on You. Please help me to not get so caught up in earthly things that I forget about You or become unfruitful. Help me to abide in You, Jesus. Thank You that You are with me always. I Will Walk Within My House With a Perfect Heart
May 16, 2008 by earthenvessel4himI will walk within my house with a perfect heart. My house is this body my spirit dwells in.
I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing. I will make melody in my heart unto the LORD.
I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will dwell in this body with my whole heart set on You, Jesus.
I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. I will have my eyes set on You, Jesus, so nothing wicked occupies my sight. I will keep my thoughts focused on You, Jesus. Please help me to keep my thoughts pure, O LORD. I hate thoughts that do not glorify You: I will not entertain them.
A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person. If I have an evil thought, I will repent of it right away, turn away from it, and turn back to Jesus. I will not get better acquainted with wicked thoughts. They are not allowed in my house, in my body, in my mind. They are not allowed to be a part of my life. In the name of Jesus Christ.
Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer. I will immediately repent if I have a thought despising my neighbor. I will not think evil thoughts of other people. I will repent immediately if I have prideful thoughts or snobbish thoughts or self-worshipping thoughts. In Jesus’ name.
Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me. I will continue in thoughts that glorify God. I will be surrounded by faithful, loving thoughts. The thoughts that glorify God, those are the thoughts I will nurture, those are the thoughts I will let nurture me.
He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight. I will repent immediately of deceitful thoughts. I will repent of lying thoughts. Jesus is truth, and He will occupy my thoughts.
I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD. I will not let wicked thoughts grow. I will destroy them early, right away, repenting of them immediately. I am part of the body of Christ, part of the city of the LORD, and no wickedness dwells here. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
(based on Psalm 101)
Let the Words I Speak Glorify You, Father
May 14, 2008 by earthenvessel4himFather, I give my mouth to You. Please speak through me. Let no wicked words come from my mouth in speech nor in writing. Let me only speak and write Your words and words that glorify and honor You. Be glorified, Father, by all that I say and write. Be glorified by all that I do. You are LORD of my mouth, LORD of my heart, LORD of my life. Father, I love You, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Guide Me, Jesus
May 13, 2008 by earthenvessel4himDear Jesus, please guide me today. Help me to do the right things. Help me to be a blessing to others. Please forgive me for being selfish. Please forgive me for pride. Please forgive me for being caught up in the cares and pleasures of this world. I want to be fruitful for You. I want to do Your will. I want to do what is right and what will glorify You. Guide me to do Your will today. Guide me to stay when You want me to stay, and go when You want me to go. Help me to speak when You want me to speak and to be silent when You want me to be silent. Jesus, thank You for dwelling in me through Your Holy Spirit. I am Yours. Use me as You see fit. My life is Yours, Father, in Jesus’ name. I trust You to guide me, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
Father, Make Me What You Want Me to Be
May 12, 2008 by earthenvessel4himDear heavenly Father, make me what You want me to be. Remove from me all impurities. Cleanse me, mold me. Make me what You created me to be, Father, I ask in the name of Jesus Christ. Create in me a clean heart, O LORD, and renew a right spirit within me. Place in my heart Your desires, Father. Let my desires be a reflection of Your desires. Be glorified by all that I say and do. Receive every breath I take as praise unto You, Father, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
My Meat is to Do the Will of Him that Sent Me
April 17, 2008 by earthenvessel4himDoes God sometimes want us to do things that some other people don’t like? Yes. We are to believe in Jesus, and some people don’t like that. We are to live for Jesus, and some people don’t like that. We are to preach the gospel to every creature, and a lot of people don’t like that. We are to live uprightly and be hard workers, and some people don’t like that. We are to do whatever we do with our whole heart, and some people don’t like that. We are to take care of our bodies, and some people don’t like that. We are to keep ourselves pure, and a lot of people don’t like that.
I want to please God. I want to be all that He wants me to be. I want to do all that He wants me to do. He wants me to love Him with all my heart, and with all my soul, and with all my mind. He also wants me to love my neighbor as myself.
To love my neighbor as myself does not necessarily mean that I should do what my neighbor wants me to do, or what makes him feel more comfortable. To love my neighbor as myself might mean to set a good example by doing what is right, even when he doesn’t like what is right. To love my neighbor as myself might mean telling him the truth even if he doesn’t want to hear it.
To love my neighbor as myself means to feed him if he is hungry, to clothe him if he is naked, to mourn with him if he is mourning, to rejoice with him if he is rejoicing.
To love my neighbor as myself does not mean to try to please him rather than God. If God wants me to do one thing, and my neighbor wants me to do another thing, I am to do what God wants me to do. The first and greatest commandment is to love God with all my heart, soul, and mind. The second commandment is to love my neighbor as myself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. If we follow these two commandments, we will be fulfilling the law, we will be doing what is right, we will be living uprightly. And priority is made clear: God first.
Morning Meditations
April 15, 2008 by earthenvessel4himQuench not the Spirit. Let God speak through you, and let God speak through others. If the Holy Spirit moves in you urging you to do something, do it. Let the Holy Spirit lead you.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit…
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace…
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God…
Quench not the Spirit.
Despise not prophesyings.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
Dear heavenly Father, I want to walk in the Spirit today. Please help me to keep my mind on You, so I can follow You, being always mindful of You, Father. Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. I know that if I am keeping my eyes on You, You will take care of all the rest. You will guide me. You know what’s coming. You won’t ever leave me nor forsake me. You won’t have me be made a fool of. You won’t cause me to be ashamed. Because You love me. And I am seeking You with my whole heart. And I trust You. Father, I love You. With all of my heart. Help me never to displease You. I want to be everything You want me to be. I want to be all You created me to be. Father, I love You. Thank You for loving me.
Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Hallelujah! Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Amen.

Oh, Father
April 9, 2008 by earthenvessel4himYou are my everything, LORD. I love You, Father. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. I wait upon You, Father. LORD, You are my salvation. I turn to You with my whole heart. I want to stay facing You all the time. I want to be aware of being in Your loving presence all the time. You warm me. Your gaze enlightens me, brightens me, warms me, cheers me.
He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. I cling to You, Father. You are sturdy, firm, protecting, saving. It doesn’t matter what is going on around me. It doesn’t matter if there is a storm blowing–I am clinging to You, my rock; and You, my rock, hold me firmly in Your all-powerful arms. You protect me, shield me, cover me. You protect me from the elements. You protect me from any attacks. You protect me completely.
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. Father, I only have eyes for You. I wait upon You alone. You are my provider, my protector, my love, my companion, my Father, my friend. You, O LORD, are my everything. You are all that I live for. I don’t want to be distracted by other things any more. I want to always remain in Your presence, and be constantly aware of being in Your presence. I want to always be in conversation with You, or in warm embrace with You. I want to always be doing what You want me to do.
In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. I pour out my heart to You, O God. I lay it all down. I let go of everything, Father, and I ask that You take care of it all for me. I am Yours. I trust You. You love me. I love You. Thank You for loving me and for being patient with me. Thank You for Your great mercy. Thank You for Your forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Thank You for saving me. Thank You for being my refuge. You are my refuge from everything. I run to You, Father. You are my safe place.
Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity. All these things we think are so important are altogether lighter than vanity. Status, power. It’s nothing.
Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them. Father, I do not want to be focused on earthly things. I do not want to treasure earthly things. I do not want to set my heart upon them. I want to have my heart always set upon You, Father. I want to always be looking at Jesus, who makes Your great love known. I want to always be looking at Jesus, who is our complete example of how You want us to be. I want to always be looking at Jesus, Your beloved Son, who lived a perfect life, and who died for our sins, and rose again, so that we might be able to be in perfect fellowship with You, Father, because our sins are forgiven. Because of what Jesus did, I can remain in Your presence all the time. Because of what Jesus did, I will see You face to face, and live for ever with You. O, Father. I love You.
Thank You, Father, for all things. You are marvelous. I love You with all my heart. I give You glory and honor and praise in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
