Thank You, LORD, for the refreshing of Your Spirit

Thank You for the refreshing of Your Spirit in me, heavenly Father.  Thank You, LORD, for giving me fresh perspective.  Thank You, Lord, for a new day.  Thank You, Lord, for quickening me, for livening me, for filling me with your exhilarating Holy Spirit.  Cause me to do Your will today, Father.  I delight to do Your will, O my God.  I delight in You, O LORD.  I praise You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

May this refreshing, this energy, pour forth onto and bless others today, LORD.  Thank You, LORD, for the opportunities to bless other people.  Thank You, LORD, for bringing other people into my life, people who bless me, people You can bless through me.  Hallelujah!

God be glorified by everything I say and do.  Be glorified, Lord, by every breath I take, by every move I make.  In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Be glorified.

Lord, be glorified!  All things are for Your glory.  Thank You for receiving praise from us.  Thank You for being glorified by us.  Thank You for loving us.  Thank You for providing for us.  Thank You for being merciful unto us.  Thank You for forgiving us.  Thank You for saving us through Jesus Christ.  Thank You that we are saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves, but it is a gift of God.  Thank You that it is not of works, lest any should boast and say, “It’s because I’m so great.”  Thank You that You never leave us nor forsake us.  Thank You for caring about us.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Think on these things

Lord, please help me today to see and think on whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report.  Help me to see and think on the virtue.  Help me to see and think on what is praiseworthy.  Please give me eyes that see this way today, Lord.  Please give me a heart that feels this way, Lord.  Please give me the mind to think this way today, Lord.  Please remove all else from my sight, from my heart, and from my mind, Lord.  I ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Praise You, Lord.  These things describe You and Your Holy Spirit.  These things describe Christ.  Hallelujah!  Dwell in me.  Fill me that there is room for nothing else.

Too self-centered

I have been too self-centered.  I have been seeking pleasure and ease and always thinking about what I want.  That is so opposite from what Jesus taught.  I feel so disappointed in myself.  And even disappointment in myself reeks of the pride of thinking that I am capable of something better.  I am nothing.  I am a worm, and no man.  Lord, please forgive me for worshipping and serving myself.  Forgive me for thinking of myself more highly than I ought to think.  Cleanse me and purify me, Lord.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  I John 1:9

Thank You, Lord, for forgiving me and cleansing me from all unrighteousness.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world:  but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.  Romans 12:1-3

I trust in the LORD with all my heart, and I lean not unto my own understanding.  In all my ways I acknowledge Him, and He shall direct my paths.  I am not wise in my own eyes.  I fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

I no longer live the rest of my time in the flesh to serve my own lusts, but I live for the rest of time to the will of God.  I no longer live unto myself, but unto Jesus, who died for me and rose again.

I am crucified with Christ.  Nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me.  And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

I no longer live unto myself.  My body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, which dwells in me, which God gave me; I am not my own.  I am bought with a price:  therefore I glorify God in my body, and in my spirit, which are God’s.

I am called unto liberty; only I use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love I serve others.  I live to love God and to love my neighbor.  I live to serve God and to serve my neighbor.  I live to worship God, not myself.

God, be glorified, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Good morning, Lord.  Thank You for the wonderful rest You gave me last night, and that I could get up when I felt like it this morning.  Thank You for clearing my schedule for today.

Thank You, Lord, for the things You’ve been teaching me this week.  Thank You that You want me to be able to serve You freely, without distraction.  Thank You for Your word, which teaches how to do that.  Thank You for Christ’s example and teachings.   I am not to take thought for tomorrow.  I am not to worry about what I will eat or what I will drink or what I will put on.  I am to give to the poor.  I am not to lay up treasures for myself on earth, but in heaven.  I can’t serve two masters, God and mammon.  I am to come and follow You, Jesus.

I am to walk in the Spirit, and I will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.  I am to rest in You, Jesus.  It is God that works in me both to will, and to do, of his good pleasure.  God promises to guide me, and I trust Him to do so.  I trust in the Lord with all my heart.  I lean not unto my own understanding.  In all my ways I acknowledge Him, and He shall direct my paths.

God promises to provide for me.  He knows what things I have need of, physically and spiritually.  He will never leave me nor forsake me.  No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.  I walk uprightly by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  God will not withhold any good thing from me.  He rejoices over me with singing.  I draw near to You, Lord, and You draw near to me.  You hold me and keep me safe under the shadow of thy wings.  You comfort me as a child.  Thank You, Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Thank You, Lord, for all You did this week.  Thank You for blessing me.  Thank You for giving me strength to do what You wanted me to do.  Thank You for guiding me throughout the week.  Thank You for giving me rest each night, and waking me  with the morning light each day.  Thank You for the rain You gave us, and for the snow.  Thank You for the peacefulness I feel right now.  Thank You for Your mercy.  Thank You for giving us grace and favour.  Thank You for bringing me to this weekend.  Thank You for what You have planned for us for this weekend.  Thank You, Lord, for blessing our health.  Thank You for providing all our needs for us.  Thank You that no good thing will You withhold from them that walk uprightly.  Thank You for Your Word, which guides us, clarifies the truth for us, confirms the truth for us, teaches us, corrects us.  Praise You, Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Morning prayer

Thank You, Lord, for the rest You gave us last night.  Thank You for refreshing us and replenishing us and strengthening us for today.  Thank You for this day and for all that You have placed in it.  Thank You, Lord, for all the people who are a part of today, around the world, existing now and those who existed in the past, both those we don’t remember and those that we read about in history books, all whose actions still bless us today.  All were created in Your image.  All You love so much that You gave Your only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

Cause me to be a blessing to Your precious children, Lord.  Cause me to do what You want me to do and say what You want me to say.  Cause me to fulfill Your will today.  Please bless me with joy and peace which I may touch and bless others with.

Lord, comfort those who mourn.  Heal the sick.  Raise the dead.  Fill those who are hungry.  Give drink to those who are thirsty.  Take away the pain.  Cause Your truth to reign throughout the earth.  Cast down deceit and wickedness.  Reign in Your righteousness and mercy and truth.  Let all this be for Your glory, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Prayer at the end of the day.

Thank You, Lord, for guiding me through this day.  Thank You that You will use all that happened today for Your glory.  Thank You that You will use all that was spoken today to Your glory.  Thank You for giving me strength to complete the tasks You gave me to do.  Thank You that You are completing what You started in me.  Thank You that you will never leave me nor forsake me.  Thank you that You were with me all day today.  Thank You for dwelling in me.  Thank You for remaining in me.  Thank You for touching others through me.  Thank You for speaking through me.

Lord, please give my body good rest tonight, and refresh and repair my body and mind.  Wake me at the time that is acceptable to You.  Thank You that You are with me all through the night.  I love You, LORD.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank You, Lord, for this peace.

Thank You, Lord, for this peace.  Thank You, Lord, for calming my soul.  Thank You, Lord, for comforting me.  Thank You for fulfilling Your word, Come to me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Turning towards You, Lord.

Oh, Lord, I love you.  I turn towards You with my whole heart.  I am nothing without You, Lord.  There is no purpose without You, Lord.  I want to do Your will, Lord.  Thank  You that You are guiding me.  May every aspect of this day bring You glory, my Lord.  Let everything I say, everything I do, even my every thought and feeling, glorify You, Father, in the name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Thank You, Father, for giving me life this day.  Thank You for giving me life in Jesus Christ my Savior and Redeemer.  Thank You, Father, for Your love and Your forgiveness.  Thank You for Your mercy and Your truth and Your faithfulness.  Thank You that You have compassion on the poor and needy.  Thank You for using us to reach out to them in Your name and giving them relief.

Thank You for the opportunities to wash the feet of Your servants.  Thank You for the privilege and honor it is.  Thank You that You gave us an example in Jesus Christ Your only begotten Son.  (John 13)

Oh, Lord, cause me to be faithful to You this day.  Let no iniquity have dominion over me.  Let no evil preoccupation consume my thoughts.  Let not pride have dominion over me.  Thank You for the example of humility You gave us in Jesus, who is King of kings and Lord of lords, and yet who lovingly washed the feet of his disciples.  Thank You for Jesus, at whose name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord, and yet who laid down His life for us, that we might be saved and delivered from the law of sin and death and given new life through Him by the power of His resurrection.  He died for us and rose again that we might live through Him in faith to God.  Hallelujah!

I turn towards You, Lord.  Thank You that You guide me.  I trust You.  I trust in You.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
